Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dukovac celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26, with a mass at St. Joseph's Church, Grimsby. Father Vance officiated with the family present. Mr. and Mrs. Dukovac were married in St. Peter and Paul Church, Ribnik, Yugoslavia. Mr. Dukovac came to Canada in 1928, where he was employed in the Porcupine Mines in Northern Ontario. He was followed by his wife and daughters in 1937. In 1942, Mr. Dukovac retired from the mines and moved to Hunter Rd., Grimsby Beach, where he took up just farming. In 1961 Mr. Dukovac retired altogether and is now residing in Grimsby. Mr. and Mrs. Dukovac raised five daughters: Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Yamich, Mrs. Frank (Ann) Buchar, Mrs. John (Kay) Buchar, Mrs. Sid (Myra) Fowecett and Helen Butcher. They have 12 grandchildren...
