Mr. and Mrs. Lorne McMane of Slessor Boulevard, Grimsby, celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on Sunday with an open house at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Horrill of Lakeview Avenue, Grimsby...They met and married in Listowel, Ontario. Reverend J. Nichols officiated at the ceremony which took place at Mrs. McMane's parents' home on December 1, 1915...Mr. McMane was employed in a bank in Atwood, Ontario, where they lived for several years before moving to Grimsby in 1929. Mr. McMane worked for Allied Fruit Farms in Grimsby until his retirement. They have two sons and four daughters: Eric of St. Catharines; Neale of Hamilton; Mrs. Jack Tylee (Helen) of Smithville: Mrs. Jack Horrill (Fern), Mrs. Raymond Coomber (Vera) and Mrs. Ruth Gunning of Grimsby. One son, Charles, is deceased.
