Full Text

For Horace and Winifred Woodley of 6 Ontario Street, Friday will be a day many couples look forward to but few ever see - their 60th wedding anniversary. Mr. Woodley and his wife will be remembered by Winona area residents as being among the best fruit growers in the area. Since they came to the Grimsby area 39 years ago, they ran a farm on Fifty Road until they retired four years ago. Before coming to Winona, they lived in Huron County for 12 years. They were married in England. They recently moved from Winona to Ontario Street. Mr. and Mrs. Woodley have four children, Mrs. Bert (Edith) Krick of Binbrook, Mrs. Ray (Nora) Marshall of Vinemount, Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Ball of Grimsby, and Russel Woodley of Winona. They also have 15 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. While Mr. Woodley devoted most of his time to fruit growing, Mrs. Woodley was deeply involved in church work at Fifty United Church. Mr. Woodley jokingly calls himself "the oldest henpecked husband in the district". There will be a reception at Fifty United Church Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
