This coloured postcard shows an illustration of Grimsby Beach. The beach and the pier are crowded with people. According to the title written on the postcard, they seem to be waiting for the canoe or swimming races to begin. Both canoes and swimmers are present in the water near the pier. Bunting runs between posts out towards the end of the pier.
