On Monday April 29, at their home in Tintern, Ont., Mr. and Mrs. John Romp celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding day. All the children, viz: Mr. and Mrs. Lane, Pittsburgh, U.S.; Mr. and Mrs. Hogarth, Tilsonburg; Mr. and Mrs. Addie Simmerman, Silverdale; Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Romp, Fonthill; Mr. and Mrs. L. Huntsman, Tintern with the grandchildren were present, together with a goodly number of friends and relatives, to offer to Mr. and Mrs. Romp their congratulations on their completion of a half-century of married life. ... The witnesses of the ceremony; C. Comfort, brother of the bride and Miss Rachael Romp, sister of the groom, have passed away to the silent majority. ...
