Description
Full Text

A despatch from Belleville on Monday night records the death of Arthur Morphy, barrister, of Napanee, which will be read with sorrow by the many people to whom he was known. He was a son of the late Henry B. Morphy, of the firm of Morphy & Morphy, one of the leading legal firms of Toronto in their day. He was until recently associated with Mr. A.R. Boswell, of Toronto, in the practice of his profession but last summer he went to Napanee to join his brother-in-law, G.F. Ruttan. Arthur Morphy was one of the most popular of the young men of Toronto. He was handsome in looks, had a good address, and made friends with everyone. He was in the Queen's Own, a member of the Argonaut Rowing Club, took a course at the Military School, and was identified with many other clubs and sporting associations. George S. Morphy and Mrs. G.W. Meyer, of Grimsby, are brother and sister respectively of the deceased. The funeral took place in Toronto on

Wednesday.
