Full Text

John Walker, whose death is chronicled in this number of the Independent, was one of the pioneers of that portion of the township in which he lived. He was a member of a very large and much respected family. Isaac Walker, who died just one month ago, was a brother and also Ralph Walker, of Grimsby Centre. Mrs. Andrew Randall, Mrs. McFarlane, and Mrs. McCurdy (deaceased) were sisters. Mr. Walker had reached the ripe age of 78 and had very little illness before death. His funeral was largely attended by relatives and old acquaintances.
