Of the many pretty house and church weddings that have been solemnized in this community recently none have been more attractive than the marriage of Miss Margaret K., eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Walker of "Walker Hall", to Major Herbert L. Hagar of Grimsby, which took place on Wednesday last, at the bride's home. Rev. Dr. MacIntyre, Pastor of the Beamsville Presbyterian chruch, being the officiating clergyman. The beautiful house with its spacious halls and lofty ceilings was profusely decorated with artistically arranged flowers, ferns, and palms, particularly the large drawing room in which the ceremony was performed, beautiful palms being extensively used in this room for the purpose. Shortly after three o'clock the charming young bride, attired in a rich wedding gown of white muslin de soie, with a long bridal veil, and carrying a large bouquet of white bridal roses, entered the room, leaning upon the arm of her father and accompanied by her two bridesmaids, Misses A. Pettit and C. Hagar, who looked charming in their becoming gowns of white muslin, with lace insertion, the bride's little sister, Miss Beatrice, acting as Flower Girl, the strains of Logengrin's Wedding March played by the master hand of Miss Riggins, a particular friend of the bride, announcing her approach to the hundred or more guests assembled in the drawing room. The fortunate groom, who was attended by Mr. Jas. G. Walker, met the handsome bride and the impressive wedding service of the Presbyterian church was then read by Dr. MacIntyre. Miss G. Couse sang in her usual artistic manner the beautiful solo, "O Perfect Love" at the end of the ceremony... They propose taking up their permanent residence in Grimsby...
