Leon Cyrka, 67, of Grimsby, was instantly killed when struck by an automobile as he walked along the QEW just east of the town limits on Saturday evening. Mrs. Ivy M. Tarris, Broadway Avenue, Hamilton, driver of the car involved and her son, Fraser Tarris, who was riding with her, both told police that they did not see the man ahead of them at all prior to the accident ... Mr. Cyrka was a native of Poland and came to Canada in 1912, residing in the Grimsby district for the last 30 years. He had been employed on the C.M. Bonham Fruit Farm for the past nine years. He resided with Paul Waituk, on Baker's Side Road near Grimsby Beach ...
