Numerous friends throughout the Niagara Peninsula will learn with deep sorrow of the passing of Mrs. Mary C. Cossit, at her late home in Madison, Conn., in her 79th year. The late Mrs. Cossit had been a former resident of the Thirty, living in that district for more than 25 years, where she formed a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, who will be grieved to hear of her death. The late Mrs. Cossit was the beloved widow of Newton Cossit. Born in Brockville, the deceased had been a member of the United Church. She leaves to mourn her demise one son, Max Cossit of St. Catharines; one daughter, Miss Jenny Cossit of New York City, one sister, Mrs. Bechler of Ottawa and one granddaughter, Jean. Funeral services were conducted in Brockville on Monday, October 21st, at 2:30 o'clock, with interment being made in Brockville cemetery.
