The diamond wedding anniversary was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Hermiston of St. Andrew's Ave. when they held a reception for friends Saturday afternoon and evening at the Village Inn. They were married in the Anglican Church at Listowel 60 years ago by a Rev. Turnbull and lived there for many years before coming to Grimsby and Grimsby Beach 25 years ago to reside. The bridesmaid and best man of that wedding, Mrs. Margaret Cosburn, of Toronto and Albert Hawkins, of North Bay were present. Their son, Ross Hermiston, of Stirling, and their daughter, Mrs. Norma Hatter, of Galt were also present. One other son lost his life in the first Great War.
