Richard Wadge, a former member of the Grimsby town council, and for many years superintendent of Queen's Lawn Cemetery, from which position he recently resigned, died suddenly at his home, on Monday afternoon. Widely known throughout the district, he was a son of the late James and Rachael Wadge, and was born in Caistor township. In his 79th year, he had resided in Grimsby for 55 years and attended the Baptist Church. His wife predeceased him in 1943. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Speck, of Jordan, and Mrs. Jessie Felker, of Hamilton; and a brother, Harvey Wadge, Grimsby; also one grandson, Keith Brown, of Grimsby. Funeral will be held from Stonehouse Funeral Home this Thursday afternoon.
