A lifelong resident of Beamsville in the person of Mrs. Margaret May Couse, widow of G.S. Karr, passed away in hospital last week following a lengthy illness. Deceased was born in Beamsville, and in earlier days was in great demand at local functions, for deceased was a very pleasing soloist, and her work in choirs and at concerts was outstanding...Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Charles Rittenhouse, Jordan Harbour; a sister, Mrs. Court Thomson, Hamilton; and a grandson, Homer Rittenhouse of Jordan Harbour. Funeral services were held from the J.W. Buck and Son funeral home, Saturday afternoon, and was largely attended. Rev. W.J. Watt of Trinity United Church, Grimsby, conducted the service, assisted by Rev. H.Godfrey of Vineland Station United Church. Casket bearers were Messrs. Ernest Culp, C.P. Van Every, W.D. Fairbrother, David Robson, Court Thomson, and Chas. Rittenhouse. Interment was made in Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville.
