Mrs. William B. Smith passed away at her residence, 200 Main St. West, Tuesday morning, March 5h, in her 68th year, The daughter of the late Joseph and Emeline Upper. Born in Allanburg, Ont. May 12th, 1878. She had been a resident of Grimsby for 49 years. Married at Grimsby, Oct 22nd, 1902, to William B. Smith. Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Pettit, two brothers, Louis Upper of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Chas. Upper of Fort Erie, Ont; two grandchildren, Donald Pettit attending OAC, Guelph, Ont., Willa Pettit, nurse in training at Hamilton General Hospital. Remains are resting at her late residence for service on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
