Rev. I.B. Kaine, of St. John's Presbyterian Church, conducted the funeral service for John W. Pollard at the Stonehouse Funeral Home Friday afternoon. Interment was made in the Clinton township mountain cemetery. Pall bearers were: Mayor E.F. Johnson, R.H. Lewis, Murray Lawrie, Edward Mannell, Clarence Shelton, and C.D. Pollard. Mr. Pollard had been a resident of Grimsby for 22 years and was a former employee of the town. Born in Gainsboro township on March 18th, 1859, he was buried on his 79th birthday. His nearest survivor is a nephew at Ridgeville.
