The death occurred suddenly on Monday morning of a well known and highly respected resident of this district in the person of Claude McLean, of the Thirty.

Deceased had been in his usual good health over the Christmas weekend and had gone about his chores that morning. He had just returned to the house from doing his chores when seized with a heart attack from which he never rallied. He had been engaged in fruit farming in this district all his life.

He is survived by one uncle, Jacob McLean. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home of J.W. Buck and Son, Beamsville, to St. Andrew's Church cemetery, Rev. J. Allan Ballard officiating.
