Albert Clarence McArthur died suddenly last Wednesday at Lakeland, Fla., in his 60th year. A lifelong resident of Beamsville, he had operated a hardware store there which he sold in May 1945. He had been retired since that time. He was an active member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and a member of Ivy Lodge, A.F. and A.M. He had been educated in Beamsville and had worked for some time in the Bank of Hamilton in Beamsville before going into the hardware business with his father. His parents, the late Angus J. and Kate Patterson McArthur, and a sister, Barbara (Mrs. Walter Russ) predeceased him. He is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Cooper, and a brother, Russell, of London.
