The following notice of the death of Jas. E. Randell, of Chicago, is published, as many people in Grimsby were acquainted with Mr. Randell as he lived here for awhile when he was a young man and was married to a niece of Mr. J.W.G. Nelles. When in Grimsby he lived about a year with Mr. and Mrs. C.S. Nelles.

Death of James E. Randell - The many friends of James E. Randell were both shocked and surprised at his death, which occurred at his home, 7425 Eggleston Avenue, Chicago, Ill., Wednesday night. ... He was born January 28, 1871 at Montgomery, Ala. He was taken to England at the age of 6 or 7 and was educated at Allesley, Warwickshire, entering that famous school January 14, 1879. He received his A.B. Degree in 1888 and he later came to Canada and subsequently to Alabama ... He is survived by a widow, a daughter, 17, and a son, 21. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Christchurch ... Interment at Oakwoods ...
