There was a real old boys reunion on Main Street on Monday last when five of "The Boys of the Old Brigade" all happened to meet in front of the Post Office and all of them had passed the alloted mark of three score and ten ... the five gentlemen, during their talk of "Olden Days" got to comparing ages with the result that their total ages came to 392 years. They were as follows: Sylvester Oakley, 80; John T. Tenyck, 80; Jas. W. G. Nelles, 78; Geo. R. Secor, 78; and Nelson J. Teeter, 76 making a total of 392. During the rebellion of "66" they all saw service and have their medals among their treasures. In conversation with Mr. Tenyck, he told the Independent that he was born in the Township of Binbrook, his grandfather taking the first lumber wagon that ever went into that township and having to open the road before him all the way. This was in 1819. ...
