Full Text

The many friends of Miss Marion Manson in Grimsby and Toronto were greatly shocked on Monday, July 14th, to hear of that most esteemed young lady's death in the Hamilton City Hospital after a brief illness of less than two months. Miss Manson had been enjoying her usual health until two months ago and had spent a portion of the winter in a trip to New York, Washington and other southern points with her cousin, Miss Nina Woolverton. About two months ago she began to be troubled with an infection of the throat, and a short time ago went to Hamilton City Hospital for treatment. In spite of everything that medical skill could do, she passed away in the early hours on Monday morning, July 14th. ... The remains were brought to the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Manson, Nelles Road, North Grimsby on Monday evening. The funeral is taking place this afternoon at 2:30 at the home, and 3:00 at St. Andrew's Church, where service will be conducted by the Rev. J. Allan Ballard, Rector. The interment will take place in the family plot in St. Andrew's Church Cemetery. ... Her demise at the early age of 29 years is greatly regretted by all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
