A quiet wedding was solemnized on Wednesday, October 2, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jerome, 156 Arkell Street, Westdale, Hamilton, when Rev. W.J. Wismer, of Westdale Baptist church, united in marriage Mary Helena Harding to Mr. William Cowan, of Grimsby. The bride was gowned in fuchsia velvet made in Princess Marina style, with full sleeves and cowl neckline which was caught with brilliant clips. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, baby's breath and fern. Her only attendant was Mrs. Edwin Jerome, dressed in wine-coloured crepe, with bouquet of red roses. Mr. Edwin Jerome was best man. Later the bride and groom left for Toronto and points east, the bride travelling in a wine-coloured dress and hat, tweed coat and carrying a black suede purse, the gift of the groom. Mr. and Mrs. Cowan are residing in Grimsby.
