A wedding of interest was solemnized in St. Alban's church, Beamsville, on July 31 at 2:30, when Rev. Mr. Manwell performed the ceremony, uniting in marriage Grace Violet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Geddes, to Mr. David Herbert Roebuck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Roebuck, R.R. 3, St. Catharines. Gladioli and delphinium decorated the church. Miss Gladys West presided at the organ, and Miss Ruth Tallman sang Because. The bride was frocked in white satin, and wore a veil of net. She carried roses tied with white ribbon. Miss Irene Geddes was bridesmaid, wearing white and carrying gladioli. Mr. William Cole, St. Catharines, was best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents which was decorated with roses and lilies. The bride's mother received in a gown of white crepe with matching hat, and wore a bouquet of roses. The groom's mother was in white and wore a blue hat and carried roses. Mr. and Mrs. Roebuck left on a motor trip for the north, and will reside in St. Catharines. The bride wore an ensemble costume of blue for travelling.
