James D. Armstrong, of 871 Main Street East, well-known Hamilton contractor, died at the General hospital August 19th following a long illness. The late Mr. Armstrong installed the extension to the Grimsby Sewerage System last year and was well known to Grimsby officials. The deceased was a native of Hamilton, being born in the city 51 years ago and having resided in Hamilton practically all his life. Two years ago Mr. Armstrong suffered a broken neck when his car crashed into a pole hear Aldershot, and since that time has been in failing health. For many months following the accident he was a patient in the General hospital, and succeeded in partially recovering from the almost fatal mishap. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to Hamilton cemetery.
