After a prolonged illness, Mrs. Elizabeth Gunn Smith, wife of James Smith, died at her home, Stoney Creek, Monday evening, aged 77 years. Born in Holy, Scotland, she came to this country 56 years ago, settling at first in Grimsby. Twenty years ago she moved to Stoney Creek and during her residence in that village was a member of Cheyne Presbyterian Church. Four sons and two daughters survive: Edward J.,W.G., J.M., of Stoney Creek, and Alexander, of Toronto; Mrs. F.B. Johnston of Beamsville and Mrs. E. Smith of Stoney Creek. The funeral service will be held on Thursday afternoon to Queens Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby, for interment.
