After an illness of pneumonia of but few days, Mrs. Mary Edna Hoffman, wife of Edgar V. Hoffman, died at her home in Grimsby, on Thursday, Nov. 26, in her 39th year. Mrs. Hoffman was the daughter of J.M. and Mrs. McPherson of Hamilton, and had been a resident of Grimsby for about 10 years. During her residence here she had made innumerable friends, her activities in church work and in the Rebekah lodge I.O.O.F. from its inception and had, within the past few days, been re-elected to office. Surviving are her husband, two boys and one daughter Allison,Donald and Marjorie; her father and mother, two brothers Egbert McPherson of Hamilton, Eugene McPherson of Beamsville and Mrs. Stanley Graham, of Hamilton. The funeral took place on Saturday, Nov. 28, from her late home 19 Ontario street to Queens lawn cemetery, the Rev. F.S. Milliken, of St. Johns United church conducting the obsequies...The pallbearers were J.F. Bird, R.G. Hughes, Jas. I. Theal, Vernon Tuck, Thomas Voigt, N.M. Walker.
