Charles North, about 73 years old, was killed at Beamsville, on Saturday, through being struck by a motor car driven by W.B. Smith, Floral Avenue, Buffalo. Smith had stopped to let another car turn in front of him, and as he started up, North stopped from behind a passing truck directly in the path of Smith's car. He was immediately rushed to the office of Dr. Elmore, but expired within a few minutes. Mr. North was a native of Caistor, but had resided near Beamsville for about 3 years. He leaves a grown-up family. Dr. Elmore, as coroner, ordered an inquest.
