Full Text

A quiet wedding took place at the United Presbyterian manse on Saturday afternoon, August 15, when Elizabeth Marie, youngest daughter of Mrs. Minnie Karr, of Beamsville, became the bride of Ray Roland, of New Toronto, formerly of Beamsville.

The bride wore a becoming gown of plum crepe silk and taupe felt hat, with corsage bouquet of sweetheart roses and baby's breath. Mrs. Roberts, of Hannon, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Mr. Roberts acted as groomsman.

The groom's gift to the matron of honour was a pearl bar pin, and to the best man gold cuff links.

After a delightful buffet luncheon at the home of the bride's mother, the happy couple left for their home in New Toronto.
