Full Text

Alarmed when he failed to appear at breakfast on Friday morning last, Mrs. James Isaac Hilts, of Fruitland, investigated and found her husband dead in bed. He had evidently died of heart failure in the night. He had been in quite good health and his death came as a great shock to his family and many friends. Mr. Hilts was a prominent fruit grower in the district and was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters at Stoney Creek. He was an Anglican in religion. Beside his widow he leaves six sons, Clarence, of New York; Stanley, of Drinkwater, Sask.; and Lloyd, Frank, Judson and Homer at home; two daughters, Blanche and Edna, at home; four brothers, Frank, of Beamsville; Robert, of La Salle, N.Y.; Joseph, of Merritton; and John of Grimsby; also a sister, Mrs. A. Albright, of Buffalo.
