One of the oldest Baptist ministers in the province passed away in St. Catharines on Sunday morning in the person of the Rev. David Morgan Mihell, who died suddenly at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Gordon Johnston, 89 North Street. The late Mr. Mihell had been pastor of the Baptist churches at Belleville, Brantford, Toronto, St. Catharines and London. For a time he was secretary of the Baptist Denomination of Ontario and Quebec. The late Rev. Mihell was born at Beamsville on September 23rd, 1850, and was a devoted minister of the Baptist church for many years. He has been retired for 15 years and has been residing in Toronto until about six months ago when he went to St. Catharines to visit his daughter. He was a member of the IOOF. He leaves to mourn his demise one son, Mr. H.E. Mihell of Toronto and Mrs. Gordon Johnston of St. Catharines. The funeral was held on Tuesday, interment taking place at Beasmville.
