Full Text

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Tapleytown parsonage on Wednesday, March 25, when Annie Cecilia, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Travis, of Vinemount, became the bride of Ira Elvin Tweedle, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Tweedle, of Tweedside, the Rev. John Ward conducting the ceremony. The bride was becomingly gowned in jade blue satin crepe, with tan trimmings and wore a hat to match and traveled in a three-piece combination suit of navy blue and tango crepe with hat to match. Miss Grace Travis, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and was gowned in tan satin crepe with hat to match. Oscar Tweedle, cousin of the groom, was groomsman.

The groom's present to the bride was a gold barpin set with pearls; to the bridesmaid, a gold barpin, and to the groomsman, a pair of gold cuff links.

On conclusion of the ceremony, which was attended by relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Tweedle left on an extended honeymoon in the central states, and will spend some time in Detroit. On their return they will reside at Tweedside.
