The people of Beamsville, Grimsby and surrounding were shocked last Friday to learn of the death of Mr. Charles Boughner, formerly of Beamsville but lately of Hamilton, who was accidentally killed at the spur where the H G & B line joins the T H & B line at East Hamilton. Mr. Boughner, who was in the employ of the H G & B as spare man acted as conductor on both passenger and freight cars. On Thursday night he, with his motorman, W. Waller, was shunting cars at a point where the one line of tracks run into the other. Misjudging the distance between the cars he was caught and crushed. The remains were brought to Beamsville for interment and the funeral took place on Sunday afternoon to Mt. Osborne cemetery, and was largely attended by relatives, friends and Masonic Brothers. His is survived by a wife and four children.
