Mrs. S. H. Teeter of Grimsby returned last week from Lowbanks, Ont. where she was attending the silver wedding of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Houser who were married in Grimsby over 25 years ago. At that time W.A. Houser was telegraph operater at the GTR station here. After leaving Grimsby Mrs. and Mrs. Houser moved to New Ontario where they lived many years. The following account of the silver wedding is taken from the Dunnville Chronical ... Mr. Houser was born in Illinois, his father, Christopher Houser, being a Canadian. The latter died when W.A. was four years old. His mother died two years ago. As a young man he followed operating on the railway, and was 16 years in the Temiskaming District, New Ontario. In August of 1915 ... his wife ... was formerly Miss Hattie Amelia Teeter of Grimsby. They have 8 children, the two oldest girls being married and they have five grandchildren. Mrs. Houser's mother is still living at Grimsby. ...
