There was a large gathering of personal friends at Bleak House, Yates Street (St. Catharines) Thursday afternoon to show their respect and extend their sympathy to Mr. Robert McLaren and to attend the funeral service over the remains of his beloved wife, Eliza Copeland McLaren. Rev. Dr. Smith and Rev. Dr. Ratcliffe conducted the service...The late Mrs. McLaren had been an invalid for a year and lived a quiet life but was well known and highly respected. The following acted as pallbearers: E. Wismer, John Madill, Jabez Newman, S. Inksater, Thomas Dudland, D. B. Rittenhouse. Interment took place in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
