Marcia C. Beamer, widow of the late William Russ, of North Grimsby, passed away on May 5, 1917, at the home of her son, H.E. Russ, St. Catharines, at the extreme old age of 93. The deceased lady who was well and favourably known to all the old residents of Grimsby and vicinity, was a resident of North and South Grimsby nearly all her long life. The last few years she resided with her son, Henry E. in Hamilton and St. Catharines. The funeral took place from the residence of her nephew, W.B. Calder, Grimsby, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, on Sunday, May 6th, at 3 p.m. The Rev. J.A. McLachlin officiating. She is survived by two sons, Henry E. Russ of St. Catharines, and Rev. I.E. Russ of Windsor. The deceased lady was the last member of the late William Beamer's family.
