Born in Binbrook 74 years ago, and a life-long resident of the district, Miss Alice Swayze died in the General Hospital at noon on Saturday after a brief illness although she had been ailing for some time. She had been an active member of Tapleytown United Church and its choir. Surviving are three brothers, Artemus, Burlington; Edward, Beamsville, and Elton, in California, and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Parker, Stoney Creek; Mrs. Annie Parker, California, and Mrs. John Smith, Grimsby. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from 151 Ottawa Street, Hamilton to Tapleytown for service and interment.
