William Stevens, a much respected resident of Clinton Township for the past 56 years, died in the Hamilton Hospital on Thursday. He operated his fruit farm on the western boundary of the Corporation. He was survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Gerald Woodland, of St. Catharines; four brothers, James and David of Beamsville; John and Donald of Hamilton, and four sisters, Mrs. David Robertson, Mrs. Harley Stewart and Mrs. Alex Groff, of Beamsville and Mrs. H. Shafer, of Grimsby. The funeral was held from his late home on Saturday afternoon to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby, Rev. E.F. Maunsell, of St. Alban's Church, officiating.
