There was a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives in attendance at the funeral of the late George Methias Southward, which was held on Saturday afternoon [Dec 4]from his late residence, Beaumont Road, Stoney Creek, with interment in Stoney Creek cemetery. Adjutant A.E. Waters of the Salvation Army assisted by Rev. Griffin Thompson, had charge of the service. The pallbearers were: Fletcher Brand, Joseph Bowstead, John Purcell, Albert Tillotson, John Farrell and Robert MacGeorge.
