Full Text

A highly respected and life long resident of the township of North Grimsby passed away at his home on the Ridge Road on Thursday last in the person of Stewart Walker following a week's illness. The late Mr. Walker was a son of the late Isaac Walker and Mary Jane Randall and was born in the home where he died as was his father before him. He followed the occupation of farming all his life and never married. He was a member of the Anglican Church. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Barchfield, of St. Petersburg, Florida. Mrs. Peter Graham of North Grimsby, Mrs. Dr. Clark, Grimsby, and Arthur Walker, of Grassies are nieces and nephews of the late Mr. Walker. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon from his late residence, a large number of friends being in attendance. It was conducted by Rev. J.A. Ballard, of St. Andrew's Church, interment being made in the family plot, Queen's Lawn Cemetery. The pall bearers were Hilliard Gibson, Aubrey Walker, Spencer Merritt, Jason Merritt, John Alway and Charles Hysert.
