The wedding of Ella Ione, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Parker, 402 Albert Street East, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to Stanley R. Globe, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Globe, Grimsby, was quietly solemnized in St. Saviour's Church, Desbarats, at 10 o'clock Monday morning, June 8th. Very Rev. Dean Paris, of St. Luke's Pro-Cathedral, Sault, officiated.
The church was beautifully decorated with flowers and potted plants. Allan Parker of Dayton, Ohio, brother of the bride, played the wedding music.
The bride looked lovely, wearing a suit of brown taffeta with hat and accessories to match. She carried a bouquet of talisman roses and lily of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Reta Parker, who wore a smart grey ensemble with beet root accessories, and carried a bouquet of shaded sweet peas and lily of the valley. Mr. George Globe of Grimsby, brother of the groom, attended as best man.
Following the ceremony, the bridal party motored to the Parker's summer home at Kensington Point, where a buffet breakfast was served to about 25 guests, relatives and close friends. Lilacs were used about the rooms, and table appointments were carried out in the color scheme of mauve and white. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the table.
Mr. and Mrs. Globe left by motor to spend 3 weeks in Southern Ontario. On their return they will reside at 126 Kohler Street, Sault.
