John Zalec, a fruit grower and resident of the Grimsby Beach district the last nine years, died after a short illness, in Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday. Deceased was in his 43rd year and a native of Yugoslavia. He came to Canada 15 years ago and was for a time a resident of Northern Ontario. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Tony Vrscay, Grimsby Beach; Annie and Lillie, at home. Five brothers, Peter, in Hamilton; Steven, Frank, Lewis and Joseph, and three sisters, Annie, Christina and Katie, all of Yugoslavia. The funeral was held from his late home on Wednesday morning with high mass at 9:30 in St, Joseph's R.C. church, Grimsby. Burial being in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
