The funeral of John Alva Lindaberry was held from his late residence, Fairview Farm, Wednesday afternoon, August 14th. Rev. A.C. Eddy officiated. Mr. Lindaberry had lived on the Spring Creek road all his life excepting eight years, when he lived in the village. He conducted the last stage and mail route between here and Grimsby and will be remembered by the spotted ponies he drove on the stage. He was the son of the late Silas and Charity Lindaberry. Besides his wife he leaves one brother, Joseph of Tintern, and two sisters, Mrs. William Haist, Vineland, and Mrs. Edward Book, St. Catharines. Never in 53 years had Mr. and Mrs. Lindaberyy been separated for as long as one night. The pallbearers were Delmar Lane, Melvin Zimmerman, Calvin Zimmerman, Edward Teeter, Arthur Zimmerman and Willard Book.
