A lifelong and highly respected resident of this district passed away following a lengthy illness in the person of Mrs. Susannah Teeter, widow of Alfred Teeter. She died at her home, 58 Robinson Street, on Saturday in her 81st year. Mrs. Teeter was born in Beamsville on March 9, 1855, and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mrs. Terryberry. She had lived in this vicinity all her life. Her daughter, Annie Catharine Teeter, who resided with her, died just one week ago. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. William Worsnop, Foleyet; Mrs. James Gowland, Grimsby; Mrs. Godden, Grimsby, and Mrs. Nellie Konkle, Burlington; one son, Charles Teeter, Niagara Falls, N.Y., and one brother, George Terryberry, Grimsby Beach. The bearers were Lorne Konkle, Charles Wilson, William Wilson, Charles Godden, Roy Godden, and Alfred Godden. Funeral service was held at the Stonehouse funeral home, Mountain street, on Tuesday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. J.A. Ballard. Interment was at Queen's Lawn cemetery.
