Clifford Wood Colgan, native of St. Catharines and for years a resident of that city, died suddenly Monday afternoon at Stoney Creek. Word of his untimely passing will be learned with sincere regret by a wide circle of friends. The late Mr. Colgan, son of Mrs. Ellen M. Willows and the late Dr. Robert Colgan, was born in St. Catharines 41 years ago. He received his education in the schools of the city and the Collegiate Institute and was during that time a member of the St. Paul Street Church. He was interested in all sports, particularly hockey and tennis. After graduating at the Collegiate he went to the Ontario College of Pharmacy, Toronto and from there to Hamilton. Two years ago he took a drug business at Stoney Creek. He is survived by his mother, at Stoney Creek; two sisters, Mr. Freeman Woodley, Homer, and Mrs. Carl P. Rumball, of Brantford. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the funeral home of Noble S. Crowe to Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, where interment took place.
