In St. Paul's Cathedral, London, Ontario, the wedding took place on Wednesday afternoon, July 26th, of Gloria Eileen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hamlyn of London and Lieut. John Oliver Merritt, R.C.A.M.C., son of Mrs. and Mrs. John Wilbur Merritt, Grimsby, Ontario. Rev. William Wallace officiated. ... The attendants of the bride were: Miss. Joan MacGillivray as maid of honour; Miss. Audrey Banninga and Miss. Donna Routledge as bridesmaids and little Mary Gordon Pirrie as flower girl ... Lieut. Eoin Currie, R.C.A.M.C. was best man and the ushers were Lieut. Wilkes Neville R.C.A.M.C. of Vancouver and Mr. Pryce Thompson, Hamilton. ... Later they will take up temporary residence in London.
