Walter A. Thomas, a lifelong resident of the Niagara district, died in Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday. Born in Saltfleet 86 years ago, he had been a farmer in North Grimsby for the last 40 years. Surviving are two nephews and one niece, Robert Beamer, Grimsby; Herbert Beamer, Stoney Creek, and Mrs. Harry Thomas, St. Thomas. He was an adherent of Grimsby Trinity United Church. Rev. W.J. Watt officiated at the funeral services on Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in Queen's Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers were Herbert Beamer, Herbert Glover, Even Harvey, Ernest Tweedle, Murray Beamer and John E. Lawson.
