William Thomas Shields, of 24 Woodbridge road, Bartonville, died Friday at his home at the age of 77 years. Mr. Shields was very well known and highly esteemed in Stoney Creek and Binbrook, and his death came quite unexpectedly. He was born in Binbrook and had farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the United Church in Stoney Creek and leaves to mourn his loss two sisters, Mrs. Edward Laidman, In Grimsby, and Mrs. W.M. Colvin, of Toronto.
