Full Text

The passing of Allan Taylor, prominent resident of Clinton Township, last Thursday afternoon was sadly learned by a host of friends throughout the Beamsville area. Deceased had been a successful fruit grower for the past number of years, prior to which he was a Civil Servant in Ottawa. He was a member of the Ivy Lodge, A.F. and A.M., and the Roayl Arch Chapter. He was a strong supporter of the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, and has been for the past three years a member of the Board of Education. Funeral services were held from his late home, the historic Walker Hall on the lake front, on Sunday afternoon, and deceased was accorded Masonic rites. Rev. James Ferguson officiated at the service and at Mt. Osborne Cemetery where interment was made. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Ruth of Toronto and Claire of Beamsville.
