Full Text

It is 32 years this summer - 1911 - that the above good looking gentleman decided that there was more money to be made in the fruit business than in the tailoring of high class suits and overcoats. He has been at it ever since. At present he is Acting-Manager of Niagara Packers Limited. "Jim" came to Grimsby from Beamsville and the early 1900's and opened up a tailor shop. He has never regretted that move. Has one daughter, Mrs. Earl J. Marsh. Is champion Victory Bond salesman for Lincoln and active at all times in any movement for the progress of Grimsby. It was through his long and persistent efforts that Grimsby secured its present fine library building, through an $8000 donation from the Carnegie Foundation. Spends his winters in Florida, he being the first of many Grimsbyites to make that state their winter home.
