Description
Full Text

A resident of Artemesia--whose nimble-fingered propensities have rendered him notorious--recently visited a farmer's barn in the silent watches of the night and abstracted therefrom a bag of grain. Coming out of the building he chanced to stumble into an old well, some ten or twelve feet in depth. Much against his will, the thief was obliged to remain all night and until the following day in the well--a prisoner!--when the people of the farm chanced to hear his cries and rescued him. No doubt he disgorged and promised never to do the [?] again, for the matter has not come before a Magistrates Court. The old well ought to get a medal.--Flesherton Advance.
